Grand Opening of the Adams Ave., Farmer’s Market is tomorrow May 12th!
This Market comes with much excitement for residents in Normal Heights and Kenningston.

The Market will be opening every Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm, year-round with local businesses pulling together and creating a the Adams Ave Walk-About each Wednesday as well.

The Market is located at 40th and Adams and will be providing the communities of Normal Heights, University Heights, Talmadge, Kensington and beyond with 24-Carrot Excitement! Find incredible fruits, vegetables and farm-fresh eggs ; shop for fresh baked bread and pastries, fish, meat, cheese, fresh flowers, sea salts and spices, olives and sauces. Meet local artists and craftspeople, enjoy the live music and a bite to eat, and mingle with your neighbors and bring your friends.

The Festival is one of our favorite Codewear Clothing events. We really get to meet our neighbors and the people so involved in making North Park a better Community.

This year’s Festival, has the addition of the Craft Beer Block, featuring Craft Beers and North Park restaurants. There are 6 Stages of Live Entertainment and a Kids/Family area dedicated to Art.

Our friends at A7D Graphic Design, designed another beautiful poster for the 2010 event.

With Memorial Day, just weeks away… are you BIKINI ready?

If not, don’t dis pare making small conscious healhty food choices and implementing exercise into your life or stepping up your current daily routine, will surely get you feeling better and Bikini ready in no time!

Food. Living in San Diego we are fortunate enough to have access to daily Farmer’s Markets, all within 10 to 15 minutes from each other. Every Wednesday night, Ocean Beach hosts a long running fabulous Farmer’s Market with Normal Heights kicking off their long awaited Farmer’s Market, this coming Wednesday, May 12th.

There is the famous Sunday Market on Normal Street and North Park’s Thursday Market. There are about 3 to 5 Farmer’s Markets each day in different communities from Escondido to Otay! There is no reason, not to support our local Farmer’s and eat healthy.

Exercise. My personal favorite, Pilates! There are two great studios that recently opened in North Park. MOVE SPX | Pilates on 30th , I’ve yet to try but have heard awesome results! And the KI Studio on North Park Way, the studio looks awesome.

Pilates offers a low intense work out with big results, don’t get me wrong… Pilates is not an easy workout.

And last but ofcourse not least, Fun Pole Fitness on Utah & University! Marie is a doll and her classes look like so much fun, definatly a fun eveing with the girls.

If you can’t afford group classes, we live in San Diego, get out WALK! Our communities are built for walkability.
And the beach/boardwalk has miles of beautiful scenery to inspire you on your Shape Up Mission!

Bikini Ready

We couldn’t ask for a more perfect day to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo! The San Diego Hot Cinco spots are already buzzing with Beer drinking patrons.

A couple of our favorite Cinco spots that never disappoint are Jose’s Courtroom in La Jolla, they have a huge party planned today with 94.9 and our long time favorite, Old Town Mexican Cafe!

It’s a great day to get out, enjoy San Diego, celebrate Cinco and catch up with Good Friends.
